Please, Don’t Make Me Repeat Myself: Speech (Dis)Fluent Students
12 undergraduates who stutter and their engagement in cocurricular programs. It was found that students with speech disfluency experience lack of campus support and recognition in which they are invisible. They experience microaggressions and systems of ableism that hinder their full participation in formal student engagement programs as they negotiate their own speech disfluency. Implications for practice include extending educational accommodations and recognition of speech disfluency across student leader programs.

How to Train Socially Just and Emotionally Intelligent Student Leaders
Student Affairs is a field built off the connection and successes of our students. Preparing and training student leaders is a critical part of our positions. Student leaders who are trained in emotional intelligence; tenants of DEI; and helping skills can enhance their own experiences as well as those of others. As our field and world continue to evolve, centering the experiences of marginalized voices and lived experiences must take center stage in our work.
